Long ago, courageous and spirited women broke down motorcycling barriers

Gottlieb Daimler. William Harley. Arthur Davidson. Soichiro Honda.

You recognize the names as pioneers of motorcycling—some of the men who built the sport.

But how about Clara Wagner? Effie and Avis Hotchkiss? Bessie Stringfield? Dot Robinson?

They were motorcycling pioneers, too—some of the women who opened up the sport to the other half of the human race.
